I am a mother, daughter, sister, friend, and proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., who is committed to lifelong learning. I began my career as an educator and remained in that field for over 21 years. I have held various positions in this space: as a Substitute Teacher, an Intervention Specialist, School Administrator, HR Manager, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion professional. I must proudly admit that I have had the most amazing experiences with some pretty amazing people throughout my career.

My passion to advocate and support my community has been with me since I was a kid. I had no idea that the time that I spent in high school as a working with scholars was preparing me for the skills that I needed to build relationships with young people and families. As I grew within my profession, I realized the importance of equity.

I completed my doctorate degree in 2017 and through my research, realized that I was a “Disrupter.” This led me to developing Disrupter University, a consultant group that focuses on disrupting inequities through Intercultural & Equity-based Climate Coaching.

I am so honored that you have chosen to learn with me. I appreciate your support and your dedication to our young people. If we truly want to impact change, it not only begins with us, but it also means that we must empower our future to unlock their dreams and passions.
